Tanjin Tisha surrenders, gets bail

Popular small screen actress Tanjin Tisha surrendered and was granted bail in a case of fraud and breach of trust over a saree.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana gave the order after a hearing on Thursday.

In an immediate reaction after getting bail, Tanjin Tisha said, “I embezzled a saree worth Tk 27,000. I have a 15-year career.

This is not desirable for anyone, I will come to court for a saree. I came to court because I respect the law.

However, many lies have been told in the case. I did not do anything like embezzling the saree or cheating.”

She further said, “I want to say one thing, the plaintiff in the case is a woman. She filed this (case) with me by showing her husband’s power.

She made many kinds of threats. I will reveal everything in the future. I do not know the person who filed the case in my name.”

The actress surrendered to the court on Thursday. Then her lawyer Nihar Hossain Faruk applied for bail.

After the hearing, the court granted her bail. Later, after getting bail, Tisha left the court premises. At that time, an eager crowd gathered to see her.

According to the case, Tanjin Tisha bought a saree worth about Tk 28,800 from the online fashion page ‘Aponia’ and promised to promote it and pay for it, but later cut off contact.

In this incident, Aminul Islam, the admin of the online fashion page, filed a case in court in 2025 on charges of fraud and breach of trust.

At that time, the court accepted the plaintiff’s statement and ordered the DB police to investigate the incident and submit a report.

After the investigation, the police submitted a report stating that the initial truth of the allegations against Tanjin Tisha was found.

The court took note of that report and issued a summons to Tisha to appear in court on July 12.
