Fakhrul urged the government to refrain from exaggerations about the country’s development.
He requested the government to stop talking about the agricultural sector or the economic growth. Today, onion price continues escalation despite lip assurance.”
Marginal farmers are being deprived of a fair price of their produce, said Fakhrul.
The BNP leader said, “I went to Thakurgaon the other day and saw a maund of paddy being sold for Tk 550 which takes Tk 650-750 for a farmer to produce. The sufferings of the farmers know no bounds.”

The BNP leader hailed the verdict in Holey Artisan café attack case.
“We welcome the verdict and we are happy. Hope, we will remain alert to prevent the recurrence of such incident in Bangladesh,” he added.
