1 held for misappropriation of Tk 5 cr in city

Police on Tuesday arrested one Kamrul Huda, 52, for misappropriation of Tk 5 crore and giving life threat to the owner of New Auto Glaxy at Banani in the city recently.
According to an FIR, Mohammad Nazrul Islam Alam, 56, son of Mohammad Abdul Hakim of Banani filed a case with Banani Police Station accusing Kamrul Huda of the same area for misappropriation of Tk 5 crore in the name of sale of a house at Banani showing false documents, breach of trust and giving life threat to him on November 11, 2019.
Following the case, Metropolitan Magistrate Court No 29 issued warrant of arrest against the accused Kamrul Huda, son of late AHM Tarik, and police arrested him yesterday.
Later, police produced him before the court. The court sent him to jail rejecting the bail prayer.
Banani Police Station Officer-In-Charge Forman Ali confirmed the matter.
