Keeping Dithi Anwar’s invitation they are at Palki

With the songs written by noted lyricist and Ekushey Award winner cultural personality Gazi Mazharul Anwar Channel i is telecasting special musical programme Palki, produced by Jamal Reza. Daughter of Gazi Mazharul Anwar, popular singer Dithi Anwar is hosting the show.
This time four singers of present time Champa Banik, Sabbir Zaman, Apu Aman and Zhilik performed in the programme to keep request from Dithi Anwar. In the programme, they rendered Gazi Mazharul Anwar-written’s play-backs songs of different movies.
While talking about hosting the show Dithi told this correspondent, “After rendering the song I ask father to tell about the background history of that song in the programme. I knew this history from my childhood but I believe everybody should know these. Basically Palki is an archive of my father. I am grateful to them who attended the show.”
Champa Banik said, “It is really a great luck for me to render Sir’s songs in front of him. It is really a great achievement in my career.”
Sabbir said, “It is a great achievement for me to render Gazi Sir’s songs in front of him but I really felt nervous during performing. Sir is our living legend in music industry.”
Apu informed that it is really a great luck to get this type of opportunity to render songs in the programme. Zhilik also shared her feelings by this way.
In the programme, Champa Banik rendered the songs Bhule Gechhi Sur Ogo, Ek Borshar Brishtitey and a duet with Apu titled Ami Kotodin Kotoraat Bhebechhi, Apu rendered the songs Joy Hobe Hobey Aamar and Karo Apon Hoite Parlina Antor.
Meanwhile, Sabbir rendered the songs Shudhu Gaan Geye Porichoy and Tumi Kokhon Eshey and a duet with Zhilik titled Tumi Chhara Prithibita Prithibito Noi. Zhilik rendered the songs Eka Eka Keno Bhalo Lagena and Haat Dhorey Noye Cholo Poth Chinina.
