Govt’s intervention to realise demands of RMG workers demanded

A human chain formed in front of Chittagong Press Club on Saturday evening under the banner of ‘ Coalition for Humanity ‘ demanded govt’s intervention in order to realise their legitimate demands of garments workers.
Convenor of the organization Nurul Islam Faruk presided over the human chain programme .
 Among others, teacher of Law Faculty of Chittagong University Syeed Ahsan Khalid, coordinator Ganosanghati Andolan Hasan Maruf Rumi, AR Bahadur, Nomanullah Bahar, Minto Barua, Salehuddin Ahmed, Saif Shamim spoke on the occasion.
The speakers in the rally followed by human chain said garments sector is one of the major working force of economy and the workers are the basic force of the economic development of Bangladesh.
They said it is quite impossible for economic development through negligence to workers .
 The speakers also said the legitimate demands of the workers may be mitigated if the owners so cordially desire.
