Palestine envoy calls on DU VC

Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Bangladesh Mr Shaher Mohammad called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at the latter’s office of the university.
President of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed, General Secretary of DUTA Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and Deputy Head of the Mission Yousuf S Y Ramadan were present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially possibilities of strengthening bi-lateral relationship between Bangladesh and Palestine. The VC urged the International Community to play effective role in stopping Israeli attacks on Gaza and establish peace in Palestine.
The DU VC expressed his deep solidarity to the Palestinians and said that moral support of the people of Bangladesh would be continued to them.
