Exemplary punishment of alleged attackers demanded

Hizbut Towhid Bangladesh (HUT) a non-political organisation of Bangladesh held a press conference at Chattogram Press Club Hall on Sunday morning demanding exemplary punishment of the murderers that occurred in 2016 at Sonaimuri in Noakhali district.
Joint Office Secretary of HUT Moklesur Rahman Sumon read out the written statement before the press meet. The press statement was told that following the instigation of a section of so called islamic fanatics, two members of HT named Md. Solaiman and Md. Ibrahim Rubel were killed by the agitated mob on March 14, 2016 at Sonaimuri in Noakhali district .
The press meet was also told that following the instigation of local Jamaat, shibir and other fanatics group, madrasa and under constructed mosque were demolished and slaughtered tow members of the HT on the spot.
The unruly fanatic groups also attacked the law enforcing agency members while they stormed in the spot instantly.
Press meet also alleged that a number of HT were also accused in the chargesheet along with the attackers .
The speakers in the press meet demanded immediate arrest of attackers on HT men with exemplary punishment and also demanded rehabilitation of the affected members of the HUT . Office Secretary of HT Sumon also replied a number of questions of the journos in the press meet.
Security beefed up at churches : Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) beefed up security measures at all the churches in the Port City following the terrorist attacks in New Zealand mosques recently. RAB forces deployed in all Christian churches on Saturday .
RAB-7 forces led by Asstt. Police super Kazi Md. Tarek Aziz patrolling the churches in the port city .
The existing churches in port city are Catholic Church, Bethelham AG Church, Church of the Emaculet Conception, Geon Baptist church, Nirmala Mariam Church, Baptist Church etc.
Commandant of RAB-7 Lt Col.Miftah Uddin Ahmed said to avoid any sorts of communal nuisances in the city, this temporary measures were taken.
