Two colleges to have 10-storey buildings

Each of Chattogram Govt College and Govt City College here will have a 10-storey academic building for the first time.
Sources with the Education Engineering Department (EED) said the college buildings will be built at a cost of Taka 12 crore under the post-graduate
project of the Education Ministry.
Besides, another five-storey building will be built at Govt. Commerce College.
On completion of these buildings, over 8000 students will get a better accommodation facility at the institutions.
Talking to BSS, EED Executive Engineer Mohammad Jalaluddin said the construction of academic buildings at Govt. Commerce College and Govt. City
College has already been started in the meantime.
He said the work order has been issued for the construction of Chattogram Govt. College building. The cost of the building has been estimated at Tk. five crore.
The sources said the work on 10-strey buildings is expected to be completed by December 2020 and the five-storey building by end of the current year.
