Election camps to be removed soon: DSCC Mayor

Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon on Saturday said that all the makeshift election camps set up during the 11th National Polls would be removed soon.
He said this while inaugurating the removal work of makeshift election camps at Segunbagicha in the city.
The mayor said that all election materials like posters, banners, festoons and other stuffs had been removed within the given time, 48 hours.
“Very few are, however, still visible scattered by in the city. These will be removed soon,” he said.
He asked all to inform the corporation about existence of any election-related poster, banner or festoon on flyover or in any other place.
“The corporation has given importance to remove all the makeshift election camps in order to keep the pavement free for pedestrians,” he said.
The DSCC officials and local councilors were present.
