Railway staff crushed under train

A staff member of Bangladesh Railway (BR) was crushed under a train while on duty on Wednesday in Pahartali area of Chattogram city.
Police and railway sources said Ibrahim Sheikh, 38, was an employee of BR’s electrical section. His father’s name is Abdur Gafur Sheikh, from Mondolgathi of Khulna.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Sohag Miaji of Bangladesh Railway Police at Chattogram station said Ibrahim was killed on the spot around 9:30am under the Meghna Express, coming from Chandpur.
A three-member committee, headed by assistant personnel officer, was formed to investigate the incident and it was asked to submit is report within seven working days, said Borhan Uddin, divisional railway manager of BR East Zone.
