CCCI president urges BB Governor to make US dollar rate stable

President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) Mahbubul Alam called upon Bangladesh Governor Fazle Kabir yesterday in a letter to control the price -hike of US dollar . In his letter said , following the unstable of dollar price in open market caused instability in money market.
He said the scheduled Banks sell US dollar in high rate but they show the lower rate to Bangladesh Bank. Defying the standing order of dollar price by BB at Tk.83.45 per dollar, some of banks are selling dollars to importers at Tk.84.60 to Tk.85.40 , sources said.
The letter also men tioned that neighbouring country India fixed dollar rate at Rs.71 whereas in our country dollar price increased by the controlling bank .
CCCI president urged the central bank to intervene the matter of dollar rate hiking which ultimately have to face by the consumers.
