Indigenous girl ‘raped’ in Ctg, one held

A thirteen-year-old girl of Tripura community was reportedly raped at Uzaliapara near Khaiachhara Hill in Mirsarai upazila on Thursday. Police arrested another Tripura man Shimul Tripura, 40, from a hilly area after the victim’s father filed a case with Mirsarai Police Station on Friday morning.
Father of the victim claimed in the case statement that Shimul and Mannan violated her daughter bringing her at a local hill around 1 pm on Thursday.
Officer-in-charge of the police station Jahidul Kabir said the arrestee confessed that he had handed over the girl to Mannan after violating her.
