Body of schoolboy recovered

The body of a schoolboy, who was washed away by water in Choto Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila on Tuesday, was recovered on Thursday afternoon.
Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, told reporters that the body was retrieved from Sonapara area of the upazila by a team of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The victim was Rahat, a student of class-VII of Kumira Residential High School, he said. Rahat, 13, was swimming in a cannel along with his school friends at around 2 pm on Tuesday, but strong current washed him away, Jashim said.
