People to be freed from hostage of Dr Faisal: Ctg Journos

The journalist community of the Port City will launch bigger movement if the vested quarters influence the investigation of the probe committee so formed in connection of death of a minor daughter of one journalist of Chattogram . The journalist leaders disclosed it while addressing the Sangbadik-Janata rally at Shaheed Minar square in the Port City on Tuesday. The leaders of journalist forums and civil society addressed the rally. The speakers disclosed that unless the 3-point demands of the journalists will be fulfilled, they will not back home . The speakers also commit to free the one crore healthcare professionals from the confinement of the Dr. Faisaal through joint movement of the jouranlsits and the civil society.
The leaders also demanded closure of Max Hospital for alleged negligence in the treatment of a three-year-old girl who was suffering from cold and sore that and later on died.. The journalists also demanded exemplary punishment of the doctors for providing wrong treatment to girl and misbehaving with her relatives.Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ) President Nazimuddin Shyamol presided the rally.
The rally conducted by CUJ General Secretary (GS) Hasan Ferdous, was addressed, among others, by Vice-President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Shahidul Alam, Joint Secretary of BFUJ Tapan Chakroborti, Chattogram south district AL General Secretary Mofizur Rahman, BFUJ member Ashif Siraj, CUJ Vice President Mohammad Ali, Joint Sectary of Chattogram Press Club (CPC) Chowdhury Farid, former CUJ presidents Mostaq Ahmed, Reaj Haider Chowdhury, CUJ leaders Sabur Shuvo, M Shamsul Islam, Ahmed Kutub , photo journalist Didarul Alam, ETV Resident Editor Rafiqul Bahar, Bureau chief of Samakal Sarwar Sumon were present among others, Besides journo leaders, political leaders of jubo league Farid Mahmud, Workers Party leader Sharif Chowhan, communist party leader Amrita Barua, and Khorshed Alam of AL and a numbers of sufferer families were present in it.
