July Museum opens, tickets available online

The July Museum has been opened at Ganabhaban in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, preserving the memories of the 2024 July Mass Uprising, the sacrifices of martyrs and significant events of the movement for future generations.

The museum, established inside the former official residence of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has recently been opened to general visitors.

The rooms of the former government residence have been redesigned to display personal belongings of those killed during the July Mass Uprising, historical photographs, documents and other evidence related to the movement.

Different galleries of the museum showcase notable events from the past one and a half decades, including information on enforced disappearances, torture, and key moments of the July movement.
Visitors interested in exploring the July Museum must complete online registration and collect tickets through scheduled time slots.

If all slots for a particular day are filled, visitors will have to select available slots on another date. The museum remains open daily from 11:00am to 5:30pm. The entry fee has been fixed at Tk 50 for adults and Tk 25 for children.

The July Museum has been established to preserve the memories, documents and personal stories associated with the 2024 July Mass Uprising and present them as historical records for future generations.
