2 officials show caused for taking kickback from businessman

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday sent separate show cause notices to two officials on charge of allegedly taking Tk 37 lakh as kickback from a businessman, intimidating him of indicting his name in a graft case.
Zahid Hossain, Deputy Director of ACC Bogra Interconnected Office, and Golam Mostofa, Deputy Director of ACC Bogra Head Office, have been served the show-cause notices to reply within seven consecutive days.

confirming it said that the two had committed the crime in collaboration with each other.
ACC through its special investigation found the evidence of taking the bribe. Not only that, the two accused demanded Tk 20 lakh more also from the complainant.
The anti-graft watchdog finding the evidence sent the notices under ACC Employee Recruitment Provision-2008, the official said.
He went on saying “The legal action will be taken against them if the allegation is found true.”
