Police unearthed ‘yaba factory’

Nearly 250,000 yaba tablets and large amounts of yaba production materials were found at the factory in the Double Mooring area, detective police Inspector Mohammad Mohsin told the newsmen.
He said “We found 105kg of raw materials, which could be used to make nearly 1 million yaba tablets,” he said. Four people were arrested during the operation, said Mohsin. More information would be available at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, he said.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) unearthed a yaba production factory in the port city and seized about 2.5 lakh yaba tablets from the factory yesterday.
A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted a drive at Beperipara under Doublemooring Police Station last night and detained four persons with 2.5 lakh yaba tablets and a large amount of yaba producing materials from the factory, DB Additional Deputy Commissioner Humuyon Kabir told reporters.
He said the law forcers seized 105 kg of raw materials, which could be used to produce Yaba tablets.
