Legendary music composer and director Alauddin Ali’s death anniversary is on August 9.

The legendary artiste passed away six years ago on this day in 2020.
His daughter, musician Alif Alauddin, has called for an exceptional event in his memory.

Alif posted on Facebook on Wednesday, informing about the matter. She wrote, “I have a small request to remember this day, to all artistes, musicians or those who just love music.

No need for a studio, no need for perfect recording. At home, in the car, in a chat, in rehearsal, wherever you want, share a short video of yourself singing, playing or humming a favorite song composed or arranged by your father.”

However, Alif does not call it a competition. She says, “This is not an event, nor a competition.

It is just a small attempt to remember the creation of a human being together out of love. Your love was his greatest achievement, and it is still his most beautiful legacy.”

Alif said, “To participate in this memorial event, you must use the hashtag #AlauddinAliLivesOn in your post.” Finally, Alif said to the fans, “May Abbu’s songs come alive once again in your voices, in your love.”

It is worth mentioning that Alauddin Ali is one of the most successful composers of Bengali film songs.

Many songs in his tunes and music have become timeless. Some of them are ‘Je Chhilo Drishtir Simanay’, ‘Ekbar Jodi Keu Bhalobashto’, ‘Balobasha Joto Boro Jibon Toto Boro Noy’, ‘Prothom Bangladosh Amar Shesh Bangladesh’, ‘Sukhe Thako O Amar Nandini’, ‘Achhen Amar Moktar’, ‘Bondhu Tin Din’, ‘Surjodoye Tumi Surjasteo Tumi’, ‘Emno To Prem Hoy’, etc.
