Durable use of renewable energy stressed
The 4th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy (ICMERE) was held at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) organised by Mechanical Engineering of CUET on Tuesday.

Finance Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Md. Muslim Chowdhury said, we must go ahead with industrial development through durable use of renewable energy .
He said now the world is thinking to use the durable energy instead of fossil fuel and health hazard energy which destroy the environment.
He disclosed it while addressing the concluding session of the 3-day long International Conference on renewable energy at a city posh hotel on Tuesday evening as Chief Guest.
The finance secretary hailed the role of CUET for arranging such a international conference which will play a key role to proceed with the renewable energy.
Dean of Mechanical Engineering of Chittagong University of Engineering Technology (CUET) and Chairman of Conference Committee Prof. Dr.Sajal Chandra preside over the concluding session attended by its Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Rafiqul Alam as special guest.
Among others, Head of Mechanical Engr.Department Prof. Dr. Jamaluddin Ahmed, Prof. Akio Miyara of Japan University of Saga, and President of conference technical committee Prof. Md.Mahbubul Alam spoke on the occasion.
Dr Mizanur Rahman , Secretary of Conference Technical Committee and Associate Profession delivered address of welcome in it, a CUET sources said. This is fourth time of conference arranged by CUET in Chittagong, sources added.
Teachers, researchers, students of 11 foreign countries attended the conference, sources added.
Mentionable that KY Steels, Confidence Cement Company and Industrial Engineering and Services patronised the conference.
