Day-long golf tournament in Narail on November 24
A day-long golf tournament will be held on Friday (November 24) at Arunima Resort Golf Club, a resort built in a remote village of Narail, said a press release.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder, MP, is expected to inaugurate the meet as chief guest.
A total of 30 local and foreign players are expected to take part in the meet, sponsored by Visa Thing.
In this regard, a press conference was held on Saturday at the city’s local hotel to provide details of the meet.

Khobir Uddin Ahmed and sponsor company Visa Thing chief executive officer Ferdous Al Muttalin were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the press conference the speakers said it’s a special step to encourage tourism with the country’s sports. Golf is a popular game in the World and through this game it’s possible to attract more foreign tourists.
The speakers think that sports can open up opportunities for the development of country’s tourism sector. If golf tournament is organised on a regular basis, tourists would visit Bangladesh regularly.
They said the present government is giving special importance to sports and to encourage this Visa Thing have come forward to organise the tournament.
The speakers hope that the Arunima Resort and Visa Thing will take the country’s golf to a new height by organising more tournaments in near future.
