Ansar clinch National TT Championship title

Bangladesh Ansar emerged men’s team event champions in the 37th National Senior Table Tennis (TT) Championship beating Bangladesh Army in the final held on Monday at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium.
In the men’s doubles event, Hasibul and Rocky pair of Bangladesh Army emerged champions beating Javed and Hridoy pair by 3-2 sets in the final.
In the women’s doubles final, Soma and Mou pair of Bangladesh Ansar emerged champions beating army’s Rahima and Rumi pair by 3-0 sets.
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited chairman Arasta Khan was present as the chief guest in the finals and distributed the prizes. Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) president Hedayet Ullah Al Mamun, BTTF vice-presidents Sheikh M Jahangir Alam and Saidul Haque Sadi, its general secretary Khandakar Hasan Munir, tournament committee’s secretary M Anwar Kabir Chowdhury were present, among others, on the occasion.
