Khulna-Rangpur match ends in a draw after Anamul’s double ton in NCL

Opener Anamul Haque must have caught the eyes of national selectors as slammed a brilliant double century to enable Khulna Division to take first innings lead against Rangpur Division on the final day of the of four-day 19th National Cricket League as the tie ended in a tame draw at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
Resuming the fourth day with overnight score at 344 for 4, Khulna Division declared their first innings at a healthy total of 495 for 9 courtesy of Anamul’s magnificent double tons, in reply to a Rangpur Division’s first innings total of 471.
Anamul, who resumed his innings on the fourth day with his overnight 172, scored 216 off 356 balls laced with 18 boundaries and two sixes.Nasir Hossain finished his spells with an impressive figure of 5-70 while Shurawardi supported him with 2-138.
In reply, Rangpur Division stared their second innings on the final day afternoon and scored 37 for 4 at stumps.
Pacer Mashrafe Mortaza claimed three Rangpur wickets conceding 12 runs.
