U-16 booters prepares to face stern challenge

Pitted against the heavyweights like hosts Qatar and United Arab Emirates in group E, a 31 member Bangladesh u-16 contingent comprising 23 players flew to Doha on Sunday.
The 23 member football team comprised 15 players who featured in the SAFF U-16 Championships at Nepal.
The team management added eight new faces in the team hoping to bolster the strength. In a press meet at the BFF House on Sunday head coach Parvez Babu hoped that his team would learn and play a fighting brand of football against big names.
“Qatar, UAE and Yemen all are ahead of us, however we are prepared to face the challenges ahead, we will fight for a decent result, I have prepared my boys to play counter attacking game with more possession” said Babu, the former national defender.
Skipper Yeasin Arafat thought they have the confidence to put a good show. “We have trained under the scorching sun to get adapted with the Qatari conditions, after playing the SAFF U-16 Nepal we are now more confident to play better, we are not worried with our opponents” said Arafat.
Bangladesh faces UAE on September 20th, takes the field against Yemen on September 22nd and wraps up the campaign against hosts Qatar on September 24.
