Chinese university inks MoU with CUB

Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Liaoning Communication University, China (LCU) at CUB campus on Thursday. Prof William H Derrenger, Vice Chancellor, CUB and Xu Ying, Vice President, LCU signed the MoU on behalf of their respective University. Dr Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Founder and Chairman, CUB was the chief guest and Prof Emeritus Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, former Chairman, UGC and former VC, University of Dhaka and Honorary Adviser of CUB was special guest in the ceremony. LCU is one of the best universities in China for Communication, Film, Media, Journalist, Animation and related studies.
Under this MoU, the representatives of both universities agreed to exchange students, faculties, academic activities, joint research and publications from October 2017. In addition, both the universities will send students for summer camp starting from September 2017 and internship will start from 2018 for the students of both universities.
Among others Anjuman Ara Shahid, Vice Chairman, BoT and Chowdhury Raheeb Safwan Sarafat, Member, BoT, CUB, Brig Gen Md. Asaduzzaman Subhani (Ret), Registrar, CUB, Chen Yongqing, Secretary General of Liaoning Provincial Association of International Education Exchange and Wu Ningning, Executive Deputy Dean of International Education College of LCU were the special guests in the ceremony.
SM Arifuzzaman, Associate Professor and Head, School of Business, Hanif Mahtab, Associate Professor, School of Business and Proctor and Head of Career Service Wing and Md. Latiful Khabir, Assistant Professor of School of Business and Head of Student Service Wing and Students’ Directorate and Tusher Nabi Khan, Coordinator, Program of Film and TV, CUB were also present in the occasion.
