Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Ministry of Youth and Sports Zahid Russell, MP inaugurated the archery meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest. President of Bangladesh Archery Federation and Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army Lieutenant General Md Mainul Islam, Chief Coordinator of the Competition and Vice-President of Bangladesh Archery Federation Md Mahfuzur Rahman Siddique, General Secretary of the Federation Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal and Commandant of ASPTS Brigadier General Mohammad Abdul Moin were present at the time.
Omar Faruque of Dhaka Army Archery Club and Shakil Molla of Mohasthan Archery Club secured gold medal in singles of the men’s division of Bamboo Division on Thursday.
In the women’s division, Nandini Khan Shwapna of Dhaka Army Archery Club and her teammate Israt Jahan gained gold medal on the same day.
Today President of Bangladesh Archery Federation and Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army Md Mainul Islam will distribute the prizes among the winners.
