SC asked lower courts to inform unexpected incidents
Staff Reporter :
The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday sent a circular to the lower courts across the country to immediately inform the SC Registrar General about any untoward incident taking place there.
The SC authorities issued the circular a day after the agitating lawyers vandalized a Chittagong court when a bail petition of their fellow lawyer and his wife was rejected in a human trafficking case.
Appropriate departmental action will be taken against those who will violate the directive, said the circular signed by Registrar of the High Court Division of the SC Abu Syed Diljar Hussain.
The circular said, the SC authorities have noticed that some unexpected incidents have taken place in some of the lower courts recently.
The lower courts are supposed to transmit the incidents immediately to the SC so that necessary steps can be taken, but the courts do not comply with the direction in many cases.
