The problem is being aggravated due to large scale destruction of forests and hills with the help of explosives in search of stone collection. All these unauthorised ventures mostly by powerful section have been affecting the entire areas. The direct and indirect result of the destruction is the causative factor for the emergence of innumerable smaller islands on the river bed. The growing islands on river bed through deposit of silted alluvial soil during moonson blocks normal water flow causing river erosion on both sides, local people also informed.
