Death anniv of Poet Belal Mohammad today

Today is the third death anniversary of poet, cultural activist and organiser Belal Mohammad, one of the founders of the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.
He started working as the sub-editor of Dainik Azadi in 1964 and also joined Radio Pakistan in that year.
He was awarded Independence Day Award in 2010 for his contributions to the Independence and Bangladesh Liberation War. He also received Bangla Academy Award for literature on Liberation War affairs in 2011. Belal died on July 30, 2013 at the age of 77.
He donated his body for use by the medical students.
