Grave of Shaheed F F shifted after 43 years

The grave of Shaheed freedom fighter cadet Anwar Hossain was ceremonially shifted from Uttar Southkhali village under Sharankhola Upazila in the district to Rayenda Shahid Minar premises under the same Upazila on Thursday after long 43 years.
It may be mentioned here that Shaheed freedom fighter Anwar Hossain of village Uttar Southkhali joined Pakistan army as a cadet in the year 1965. In 1971 he returned home to enjoy leave.. By this time the War of Independence started.. At that time he organized freedom fighters in Sundarban forest area and joined the Liberation War. On July 12, 1971 he was killed in a face to face gun fight took place at Rayenda bazaar between the freedom fighters and the Pakistani army. On the following day he was buried in his family grave yard in the village Uttar Southkhali on the bank of the river Baleswar. But due to the continuous erosion of the river the grave was on the verge of engulfment.
