A discussion on Shishu Bondhu Gold Medal and Dr MR Khan and Anwara Trust Gold Medal-2015 and 2016 distribution organised by Shishu Swasthya Foundation was held at its office in the city’s Mirpur on Tuesday. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said mothers and their children are at high risk of militancy right at this hour.”Militants are heinous and cruel and they don’t bother at all for mothers and children. Natural calamity, wars, militancy and poverty are the risk factors working against mothers and children,” he added. He further said that we should be more careful in maintaining better health of mothers and children for the sake of keeping the nation healthy. Shishu Swasthya Foundation Chairman National Professor Dr MR Khan presided over the programme. Foundation Secretary General Prof Dr Mohammad Shahidullah gave the welcome speech. Prof Dr MQK Talukder and late Prof Dr SM Shahnawaj Bin Tabib were awarded with Dr MR Khan and Anwara Trust gold medals for 2015 and 2016 respectively.
