CUTA condemns RU teachers’ killing

The teachers of Chittagong University condemned the brutal killing of a Rajshahi University English department teacher Prof Dr Dr A S M Rezaul Karim, demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the heinous killing incident.
The teachers also demanded the government to ensure the safety of the progressive writers, bloggers, teachers and others to uphold the freedom of speech, expressing concern over the safe lives being feared from such kind of continuous attack.
The demand came with press release yesterday signed by CUTA President Prof Dr Abul Mansur and General secretary Prof DR Quazi Khasrul Alam Quddusi.
‘The barbaric attack just remind us the intellectual killing of the liberation war and such an incident never be accepted in the country,’ they added. They also called upon the people of all strata to defend the extremists.
