Independence Cup Football: Team BJMC face Rahmatganj in opener today

Team BJMC will face Rahmatganj MFS in the opening match of the KFC Independence Cup Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today. The match kicks-off at 4.30 pm. In the day’s other match, Brothers Union Limited will meet Uttar Baridhara Club at the same venue at 7.00 pm.
A total of 11 teams splitting into two groups will participate in the football meet. Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Brothers Union Limited, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Chittagong Abahani Limited, Uttar Baridhara Club are in Group A while Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited, Dhaka Abahani Limited, Team BJMC, Feni Soccer Club, Rahmatganj MFS, Arambagh Krira Sangha are in Group B.Top two teams from each group will get tickets of the semi-finals.
The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final at the same venue on April 22.
The champions will be awarded Taka five lakh while the runners-up will get Taka three lakh as prize-money.
Each participating teams will get Taka one lakh as appearance money.
