Probe panel formed

Police department on Sunday formed a five-member probe body to investigate into the attack on a Shia mosque at Shibganj in Borga on Thursday that left one person dead and three other injured.
Arifur Rahman Mandal and Abdul Jalil, two additional Superintendents of Bogra Police (ASP), will jointly lead the probe panel.
Al Asad Mohammad Mahafuzul Islam, assistant Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Amirul Islam, Officer in-Charge of Bogra Detective Branch and Ahsan Habib, Officer in-Charge of Shibganj Police Station, are the other members of the panel.
“The police headquarters yesterday formed the panel to investigate into the Shibganj Shia Mosque attack,” Arifur Rahman Mandal told The New Nation on Sunday, admitting the matter.
Earlier, miscreants carried out an in a Shia gathering in Dhaka that left one dead and many others injured.
