Shakib becomes father of baby girl

Bangladesh ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan has begun a new innings of parenthood as his wife gave birth to a baby girl in the early hours on Monday.His wife Umme Ahmed Shishir gave birth to their first child at a hospital in the USA. Shakib’s family sources said both mother and child are sound and safe. Earlier, Shakib left for the USA on Saturday night. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director Khaled Mahmud said Shakib cited emergency reasons and the board let him go.The all-rounder Bangladesh cricketer is expected to remain out of the rest of the Zimbabwe series.Married for almost three years since December 2012, Shakib announced on October 26 that he and his wife were expecting their first child soon.
