Canadian company picks Chandpur’s Sazzad as Spl Adviser

Sazzad Rashid, the Foreign Trade and Investment Adviser to the Opposition Leader in the National Parliament of Bangladesh, has been appointed as ‘Special Adviser’ to the famous Canadian Oil and Gas company Eaglesledge Energy Ltd., located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Canada is the world’s third-ranked mineral Oil and Gas-rich country. He himself invested in the same Oil Refinery and Solar plants in Canada.
Sazzad Rashid also contested from Chandpur-4 (Faridganj) constituency in the last 12th National Parliament Election. He is the youngest son of former Deputy Attorney General and renowned politician, late Advocate MA Rashid and the first woman Commissioner of undivided Dhaka City Corporation and also, Ratnagarbha (Mother of distinguished Children) awardee, Momtaj Rashid.
Sazzad Rashid has over 30 years of academic qualifications and work experience in the USA, Europe and South Asia. He held many leadership positions in the top-tier financial institutions in the United States.
Eaglesledge Energy Ltd. values Phase 1 at $460 million US dollars, with Phase 2 injecting another $1.5 billion US dollars in valuation. Their Oil refinery plant will produce 30,000 bpsd barrels of diesel, gasoline and jet fuel per day at an estimated cost of $460 million. In the next phase, it will produce 85,000 barrels of oil per day to meet regional demand.
Eaglesledge Energy will also generate 125 MW of solar power. A portion of the production will be used in oil refinery operations and the majority will be used to meet the needs of the power grid and local industry in the Saskatchewan province of Canada.
