Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) has requested the concerned parties to remove the advertisement boards and directional boards installed on islands at various roundabouts and roads without permission in Sylhet city. The SCC has also warned that necessary action will be taken as per the rules if they are not removed on their own responsibility.
This information was revealed in a press release by SCC Public Relations Officer Nehar Ranjan Purkayastha.
The release said that various individuals and organizations have installed advertisement boards and directional boards on islands at various roundabouts and roads under the Sylhet City Corporation area without permission, causing problems for the city residents to drive on various roads in the city. Even the matter is unsightly.
Therefore, the concerned parties have been requested to remove the advertisement boards and directional boards as soon as possible in the public interest.
If advertisement boards and direction boards installed without permission are not removed at their own responsibility, necessary action will be taken as per the rules.
