Hajj Jatri Kayllan Parishad (HJKP) formed a peaceful humanchain at Station Road in the city on Saturday demanding recommission of Pahartali Haji camp into Chattogram Divisional Hajj office immediately. Leaders of HJKP, honourable hajj pilgrims and aspirant Omrah jatri and wellwishers participated the humanchain. President of HJKP Ahmadul Islam Chowdhury and the secretary General Principal Dr.Abdul Karim delivered speech in it. In their deliverations told Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed concerneds in 2016 to operate Pahartali Haji camp into Divisional Hajj Office after necessary modifications and the necessary letter was issued in connection. Not only that a sign board named “Reconstruction of Ctg Hajj camp & Hajj Training Academy” was installed infront of the existing haji camp which is still visible, they said. HJKP expressed concern over non-implementation of the Prime Minister’s instructions since last 8 years on Pahartali Haji camp. In this subject, a letter signed by HJKP President and the Secretary General was again sent to Prime Minister on March 20 last. Before the humanchain, training to Hajj and Omrah pilgrims and hajj seminar was arranged at Hotel Shaikat’s Hall room on April 27 last with HJKP President Ahmadul Islam chowdhury in the chair. Secretary General Principal Dr.Abdul Karim delivered address of welcome in it. The training program was continued for more than three hours. Md.Tanveer Hossain of Dhaka imparted training through projectors duly moderated by Saleh Ahmed Suleman & Jahedur Rahman Jahed. District Manager of Biman Airlines Shahdat Hossain presented valuable speech in it regarding hajj performances. After end of training and seminar, Moulana Kazi Shihabuddin conducted munajat , HJKP sources said.
