NRBC Bank Rewards 66 Branch-Sub Branches for Achieving Over 100pc in CASA Drive

NRBC Bank Awards 66 Branches for achieving more than 100 per cent of their targets in collecting Current and Savings Accounts (CASA), which are low- and no-cost deposits.
The certificates were handed over to the Heads of branch and sub-branch by the Chairman of the bank, Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania, at the bank’s recent business conference, “BizCon 2026.”
The event was presided over by the Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan.
Among others present were Independent Directors Md. Abul Bashar and Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain; Chairman of the Risk Management Committee Md. Nurul Haque; Chairman of the Audit Committee Muhammad Emdad Ullah, FCA; and Deputy Managing Director & COO Muhammad Abdul Qaium Khan.
It may be noted that the bank conducted a 100-day “CASA Campaign” from September 16 to December 25 last year to enhance its profit-generating capacity. As part of the campaign, branches and sub-branches organized youth festivals and career guideline programs at various universities, colleges, and educational institutions.
Through these festive initiatives, the bank’s total deposits surpassed BDT 21,000 crore, and the number of deposit accounts crossed the milestone of 2 million. In his speech as the chief guest, Chairman Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania stated that low- and no-cost deposits are the most important drivers in ensuring sustainable profitability.
He added that NRBC Bank has significant opportunities to increase its current and savings deposits through its nationwide network. He also remarked that, alongside ensuring appropriate punishment according to the severity of offenses, recognizing good performance is an integral part of good governance.
The bank’s goal is to ensure good governance in all areas and establish NRBC Bank as a safe and trusted institution for depositors.
Managing Director and CEO Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan emphasized expanding MSME financing, increasing low-cost deposits, and promoting financial inclusion for the unbanked population.
He said that by achieving the assigned targets individually and collectively at each branch and sub-branch, NRBC Bank’s financial strength will be further reinforced.
