Dhaka Seats: BNP secures 13, Jamaat bloc wins 7 of 20 constituencies

Vote counting in the 13th National Parliamentary Election continued across the country, with unofficial results for 291 constituencies available as of 1:30 pm. In the capital, results for all 20 parliamentary seats in Dhaka have now been announced.
Of the 20 seats, candidates of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) won 13, while seven seats went to candidates from the 11-party electoral alliance, including one from the National Citizen Party (NCP).
In Dhaka–1, BNP candidate Khondkar Abu Ashfaq secured victory with 173,781 votes, defeating Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mohammad Nazrul Islam, who received 112,622 votes.
Dhaka–2 was won by BNP’s Amanullah Aman with 163,020 votes, while his nearest rival, Colonel (retd.) Abdul Haque of Jamaat, secured 78,655 votes.
In Dhaka–3, BNP leader Gayeshwar Chandra Roy polled 98,785 votes to defeat Jamaat’s Shahinul Islam, who received 82,232 votes.
Dhaka–4 went to Jamaat-e-Islami leader Syed Zainul Abedin, who secured 77,367 votes, defeating BNP candidate Tanvir Ahmed by a margin of nearly 3,000 votes.
In Dhaka–5, Jamaat candidate Mohammad Kamal Hossain won with 96,641 votes, beating BNP’s Md. Nabi Ullah, who received 87,491 votes — a margin of more than 9,000 votes.
Dhaka–6 was won by BNP candidate Ishraque Hossain, who secured 78,850 votes. His closest rival, Jamaat’s Md. Abdul Mannan, received 55,697 votes, giving Hossain a margin of 23,153 votes.
In Dhaka–7, BNP’s Hamidur Rahman won with 104,666 votes, defeating Jamaat’s Md. Enayet Ullah by 6,183 votes.
Dhaka–8 saw BNP candidate Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed emerge victorious, securing 5,239 more votes than Mohammad Nasir Uddin Patwari of the 11-party alliance.
In Dhaka–9, BNP’s Habibur Rashid secured 111,212 votes, defeating NCP candidate Mohammad Jabed Mia, who received 53,460 votes.
Dhaka–10 was narrowly won by BNP’s Sheikh Rabiul Alam, who polled 80,436 votes — 3,300 more than Jamaat’s Md. Jasim Uddin Sarkar. Voting took place in 137 centres, including postal ballots, with turnout recorded at 43 percent.
In Dhaka–11, NCP candidate Nahid Islam won by a margin of 2,039 votes, securing 93,872 votes against BNP candidate MA Quayum’s 91,833 votes.
Dhaka–12 was won by Jamaat’s Md. Saiful Alam Khan Milon with 53,773 votes. His closest rival, Saiful Haque of the Biplobi Workers Party — a BNP alliance candidate — secured 30,963 votes.
In Dhaka–13, BNP-backed candidate Bobby Hajjaj received 88,387 votes, defeating Mamunul Haque, supported by Jamaat and the alliance, by 2,320 votes.
Dhaka–14 went to Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Barrister Mir Ahmad Bin Kasem (Arman), who secured 101,113 votes, defeating BNP’s Sanjida Islam, who received 83,323 votes.
In Dhaka–15, Jamaat ameer Shafiqur Rahman won with 85,131 votes, defeating BNP candidate Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan by a margin of 21,614 votes.
Dhaka–16 was won by Jamaat’s Md. Abdul Baten, who secured 88,828 votes, defeating BNP’s Md. Aminul Haque by 3,361 votes.
In Dhaka–17, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman received 72,699 votes, defeating Jamaat candidate S M Khaliduzzaman by 4,399 votes.
Dhaka–18 went to BNP’s S M Jahangir Hossain, who secured 144,715 votes, defeating NCP candidate Ariful Islam by more than 33,000 votes.
In Dhaka–19, BNP candidate Dewan Mohammad Salauddin won with 190,976 votes, while NCP’s Dilshana Parul received 125,283 votes.
Finally, in Dhaka–20 (Dhamrai), BNP candidate Md. Tamiz Uddin secured 160,428 votes across 147 polling centres, defeating NCP candidate Nabila Tasnid, who received 56,343 votes.
With all 20 Dhaka constituencies now accounted for, the capital has delivered a decisive edge to the BNP, while the 11-party alliance, including Jamaat and the NCP, secured a significant presence in several key seats.
