EBL signs MoU with Mongla Port authority on digital banking

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) and Mongla Port Authority (MPA) have partnered to launch advanced digital banking services at Mongla Port, advancing digital transformation in Bangladesh’s maritime sector.
MdJabedulAlam, Head of Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking Division at EBL, and Dr AKM AnisurRahman, Member (Engineering and Development) at MPA, signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Mongla.

The partnership will see EBL and MPA jointly establish a comprehensive digital ecosystem, allowing port users to conduct transactions via EBL’s robust digital banking platform.

Senior officials from both organizations, including Captain Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Harbour Master; Md Kamal Hossain, Deputy Secretary and Director of Traffic; Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy Chief Finance and Accounting Officer; attended the signing ceremony.
