Yunus Government Fails to Resolve Khagrachhari Issue : Momin Mahadi

Momin Mahadi, Chairman of Natundhara Bangladesh NDB, has said that the Yunus government has also failed to resolve the Khagrachhari issue. To cover up this failure, the specially registered political platforms are limiting themselves to issuing mere statements of condemnation and citing these as examples of fulfilling their responsibilities. Natundhara Bangladesh NDB has long been demanding well-planned initiatives to solve the hill tract problems and remains firm in this demand.

He made these remarks on September 29 at 11 a.m. while inaugurating a special training council at the party’s central office on Topkhana Road. Present at the event were Presidium Member Ekramul Haque Gazi, Senior Vice Chairman Shanta Farjana, Vice Chairman Dr. Nurjahan Nira, Joint Secretaries General Monir Zaman and Wazed Rana, Organizational Secretary Haridas Sarkar, Legal Affairs Secretary Advocate Shah Alam Al Shawon, Aftab Mondal, Salman Sheikh, and others.

Momin Mahadi further said, “Why are incidents of rape still taking place so brutally within the territory of Bangladesh? Why is seeking justice for such heinous crimes being obstructed? Is Bangladesh going to be known worldwide in the future as a country of ignorance like the pre-Islamic Jahiliyyah era? Amid such countless questions, rape is increasing, murders are increasing, terrorism is increasing, and mugging is increasing solely due to the incompetence of the current government’s Home Affairs Adviser. Why is he still serving as the Chief Adviser of the Yunus government despite such failures? Because he is shameless and has paved the way to deceive the nation.”
