Unidentified dead body recovered

The police have recovered the bloody body of an unidentified person from the side of the Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway in Baraigram, Natore.

The body was recovered from the area adjacent to the Airmari Bridge in the upazila on Tuesday.
According to police and local sources, some locals went to collect firewood in the morning and saw a body lying in a bloody state on the side of the highway.

Later, they informed the Baraigram police station about the matter, and the police went to the spot and recovered the body.

Baraigram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abdus Salam said that initially it is believed that the person was killed by hitting him with a heavy object.

It is also initially believed that the miscreants smashed his face. Several pieces of evidence have been collected from the scene.

He also said that the identity of the deceased has not been identified yet.

The body has been sent to the Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further legal action will be taken in this incident after the investigation.
