People in Tetulia, the northernmost upazila of Panchagarh, continue to struggle with cold mornings followed by relatively warm afternoons.
Meteorologists caution that these abrupt temperature shifts may further heighten public discomfort in the coming days.
The temperature in Tetulia rose slightly to 9.3 degrees Celsius on Thursday, up from this season’s lowest of 8.9 degrees Celsius, though readings are still hovering near the 10-degree level.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD),
the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Teknaf at 30.8 degrees Celsius, underscoring a sharp weather contrast between the north and south.
In its 9:00am bulletin, the BMD forecast mainly dry conditions with partly cloudy skies across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours. Light fog may develop in some areas early in the morning.
Nighttime temperatures may dip slightly, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain largely steady.
In Dhaka, sunset on Friday was at 5:13pm, and sunrise today (Saturday) is expected at 6:33am.
