For more than five years, popular actress Sarika has been hosting BanglaVision’s popular talk show Amar Ami. She is not only an actress but also gets to interact with singers and film artists on the show—people she might never have met or talked to if it weren’t for her hosting.
Through these conversations, she has learned a lot about them, which is why Amar Ami is a show very close to her heart. Last week, Sarika spent time in Greece with her husband Rahir. Before that, she traveled to France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Sarika mentioned that, since she hasn’t acted in dramas over the past three years and is currently fully focused on Amar Ami, she wants to use her free time to explore different parts of the world at her own pace.
After returning from Greece, she has been busy with Amar Ami and managing her only daughter’s exams. Sarika said, “I am now hosting Amar Ami regularly. Since I had never hosted a show before, the beginning was challenging for me. Even so, I have come to thoroughly enjoy hosting during this time.”
The last time Sarika appeared as an actress was in Raihan Rafi’s Amlonama (for an OTT platform). In the meantime, she has also worked on a project by Abdullah Sadeer. However, she is not aware that it is a web series or film.
