CHANDPUR: As part of the government move against illegal clinics and hospitals, an unlicensed private hospital was sealed at Mehar Kalibari area in Shahrasti Upazila recently by a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Rezwana Chowdhury. The owner was also fined Tk one lakh. Upazila Health and Family Planning officer Dr. Nasiruddin was present at that time. The hospital had no qualified staff and doctors too. There are 15 illegal and unlicensed hospitals/clinics in the district, according to the Civil Surgeon office.
