Square Pharma declare 100pc Cash Dividend: Square Pharmaceuticals Limited declared 100 per cent Cash Dividend to its Shareholders for the year ended 30 June, 2022. The declaratiuon came out through its 56th Annual General Meeting held virtually on Saturday. Chairman of the company Samuel S Chowdhury presided over the AGM. Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman, Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director, Kazi Iqbal Harun, Director, Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin, S.M. Rezaur Rahman, Independent Directors, Md. Kabir Reza, Head of A&F, Md. Zahangir Alam, Chief Financial Officer and Khandaker Habibuzzaman, Company Secretary attended the meeting. The turnover, gross profit and net profit (After Tax) for the year ended 30 June, 2022 were Tk. 6,641 crore, Tk. 2,964 crore and Tk. 1,818 crore respectively. Turnover and Net Profit rises to 13.81% and 13.98% respectively during the year under review. The company contributed an amount of Tk. 1,472 crore to the National Exchequer.

Jamuna Bank inaugurates Debiganj branch: With the conviction of modern banking services, Jamuna Bank inaugurates the 165th branch at Debiganj, Panchagarh and a sub-branch at Kishoreganj, Nilphamari. Chairman of Jamuna Bank and Jamuna Bank Foundation Al-Haj Nur Mohammed was present as the chief guest in the programme. Director of the bank Md Sirajul Islam Varosha formally inaugurates the branch. Managing Director and CEO of the bank Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed presides over the programme. Among others, local Upazila Chairman, Pouro Mayor, Upazila Awami leaders and local dignitaries were also present during the program. The bank’s Chairman Nur Mohammed expressed his determination to improve the service quality of the bank and make the economic activities more dynamic.
