Fire at the Meghna Sugar Refinery Factory & Godown

A fire broke out at the Meghna Sugar Refinery factory & godown, a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) in Narayanganj on December 22, 2022 at around 5 o’clock in the morning. 12 units of the factory’s internal fire service immediately rushed to the spot and started extinguishing the fire. 2 units of Fire Service & Civil Defense from Sonargaon and Gajaria also joined them within a short time. After working jointly for 6-7 hours, the fire was under control. A concerned authority from Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) has informed that the fire has caused a substantial damage to the Meghna Sugar Refinery Limited factory & godown.
