BD-SA 2nd Test: Rain washes out 4th day play

The rain washed out the fourth day play of the second Test between hosts Bangladesh and touring South Africa at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
It sometimes rained torrent and sometimes it rained drizzle at the venue.
At 9.35 am the rain stopped and the tarpaulin was removed from the ground.
Then the players of the both teams took part in their practice session. The ground staffs tried to prepare the ground to stage the fourth day play.
But after 12.00 noon it started to rain again and the players of the both teams returned to the dressing room.
Later, the umpires called off the fourth day play at 1.15 pm.
Earlier, the second and the third day play were washed away due to downpour.
Bangladesh scored 246 in the first innings on the first day.
The fifth and final day’s play is scheduled to begin at the usual start time of 9.30 am today (Monday).
