Rangpur District team tasted the first victory in their 2nd match of the JFA U-14 National Women’s Football Championship outplaying Rajshahi District team by 6-0 goals in a Group B match at the BFF artificial turf here on Tuesday.
With the well-merited victory, Rangpur DFA, which conceded a 1-2 goals defeat to Tangail DFA in their first appearance on Sunday, kept their semifinal hope alive from the group securing three points from two matches. Roxana and Swapna struck twice, Ratna and Mousumi netted one each for Rangpur DFA in the match.
In the other match of the day, Tangail District team played to a 2-2 draw with Narayanganj District team at the same venue. Krishna scored both the goals for Tangail DFA while Mathui Ching and Onuching netted one each for Narayanganj DFA.
