Cheques distributed among road crash-hit families in Feni

The cheques of the sanctioned amount were handed over by the Board of Trustees (BRTA) to the families of the deceased and injured victims of road accidents under the jurisdiction of Feni district.

A cheque of 1 crore 66 lakh taka was officially handed over to a total of 36 families affected by road accidents at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in Feni district on Wednesday.

The chief guest of the event was Professor Joynal Abedin VP, Member of Parliament for Feni-2 constituency, who handed over the cheques to the affected family members.

Chief Guest MP Joynal Abedin VP said, “Road accidents are such a tragic reality that in an instant, a happy family is thrown into darkness and uncertainty.

No amount of money can fill the void left by those who have lost their loved ones on these roads of Feni or are living helplessly due to disabilities.

This is not compensation, it is a gesture of love and a pledge to stand by you on behalf of the state and government”.
